Arrangements
are now complete for the Grand Lodge Convention to be held July 4-8, 2010 in Orlando, Florida. West Virginia
and Pennsylvania State Associations have been assigned to the Rosen Shingle Creek, 9939
Universal Blvd, Orlando FL 32819. The room rates, as
negotiated by the Grand Lodge Convention Committee, will be $109.00 per day
plus 12.5% a total of $122.63 per room per day for single or double
occupancy, $20.00 per each additional person. Self parking is at a discounted
$12.00 per day. Valet parking is available as well. Taxi from the airport is approximately
35.00.
IMPORTANT
All housing reservation requests for both Pennsylvania and West
Virginia MUST be made through the PA
Elks State Office.

in its entirety and mailed, along with your
credit card information or check for $ 122.63 made payable to ROSEN
SHINGLE CREEK.

NOTE:
Transportation to Orlando is the responsibility of each individual. To
avoid any last minute reservation changes please check with your airline flight
reservationist for departure rates on Saturday, July 3 for possible
savings. Making flight reservations as early as possible is recommended.
Transportation
from the airport by taxi is approximately $35.00.
The social
functions being planned for the West Virginia and Pennsylvania attendees will
consist of an early morning breakfast for members only, and a formal cocktail
party and dinner. The Social Function Registration Form can be downloaded
below. Once again the Pennsylvania
and West Virginia delegations will have separate hospitality rooms. The cost
will be $85.00 for members and $65.00 for guests. It is suggested that tickets
be purchased by our subordinate Lodges with the costs to be deducted from the
allowance granted to the Lodge delegate. Social function tickets will be
handled through the PA Elks State Office and will be forwarded to you prior to
the Convention. Checks for the SOCIAL
FUNCTIONS should be made payable to the PA ELKS STATE ASSOCIATION. No
credit cards.

arrival is most
important to insure that our members may be on time for the opening business
session at the Convention Center. You
must have your ticket for admission and breakfast.
RECEPTION
Tuesday, July 6, 2010 - 6:30 p.m. – Rosen Shingle Creek, Panzacola Room G-H1/2. The reception will end
at 7:30 p.m., at which time dinner will be served.
Tuesday, July 6, 2010 - 7:30 p.m. – Rosen Shingle Creek, Panzacola Room G-H1/2. DD Designates will check
tickets at reception entrance to be certain they have not been forgotten.
Attire for
the Monday morning breakfast will be informal, with business suit or blazer
suggested. For the Tuesday evening cocktail party and dinner the dress will be
optional, with white dinner jackets suggested, if available.
The location is Presidential Suite at
the Rosen Shingle Creek. Kevin and Margie Brouse will be in charge,
assisted by the 2010-2011 District Deputies of Pennsylvania. The Hospitality
Room will be in operation during the following schedule:

The 2010-2011 District Deputies will serve as
door checkers for the various social functions and supervise their respective
bartenders in the Hospitality Room. The 2010-2011 District Deputies will also
see that the delegates get to the Convention Business Sessions and sit together
throughout those sessions. The District Deputies will receive complete
instructions at their annual spring meeting.
PGER Carlon
M. O'Malley will expect the delegates to report to their respective 2010-2011
District Deputies in order that an accurate roll call of the delegates be taken
for all sessions of the Convention.
