Dear Members:

It is with great enthusiasm that I tell you that today, Monday, February 7th 2005, the 1st batch of Official PA Elks License plates have begun to arrive in the mail to members across the state.

I have already received several phone calls from members, telling me how good these plates really look in person.  I’m glad that you are pleased with them and that this journey of ours has now become a reality!

I continue to receive applications in the mail on a daily basis from members who have signed up previously and I continue to turn in all the ones that I receive, over to Penn DOT on a monthly basis.  It is from that point that the license plates take 4-6 weeks to arrive to you by US mail.

Please sign up for your plate today and help spread the word that the Elks are alive and well in Pennsylvania!

 Sincerely,

 Mark A. Shepperd

Dear Members:

The first 100 license plate applications have been sent off to Penn DOT and the Dept. of Corrections for processing.  If everything goes well and there are no snags, which I’m sure there won’t be, you should start to receive your new license plates around the end of January or the beginning of February.

I have been receiving completed license plate applications on a daily basis and I thank you for following my notes and sending them to me and not to Penn DOT.  I will be sending out the next batch in January 2005.  By accident, a few of you have signed your names in section C, where I am supposed to sign my name.  Please just fill out and sign in sections A & D ONLY!  Also, please make sure you write legibly on the applications, if you have access to a typewriter and can fill an application out that way, that’s great.  If not, please try and write as neatly as possible and double check that all your information is written out correctly.
